Overview of Course

Standard First Aid with CPR and AED Course This course prepares individuals for the role of being a first aider, with the necessary skills in identifying, planning and managing an emergency situation. It equips individuals with the basic information and knowledge on common accidents, medical emergencies, illnesses, injuries and its causes. The aim of the course is to train individuals to render first aid to common accidents, its related injuries and medical emergencies.

Upon successful completion of course, a certification with 2 years validity will be issued.

Who Should Attend?

Any individuals with interest in first aid. Good for the general public, homes, schools, offices and communities. Must be physically fit and able to render help to another individual during an emergency.

Course Content

The participants should achieve the following competencies upon completion of the course:

• Duties and Responsibilities of a First Aider
• Handling and Transportation of the Injured
• Unconsciousness
• Circulation and Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation and AED
• Circulatory System, Wounds, Bleeding and Shock
• Poisons, Bites and Stings
• Bones, Joints, Muscle Injuries
• Burn Injuries
• Respiratory Choking and Breathing Difficulties

Time: 9.00am to 6.00pm ( 3 days)

Course Fees: S$180 per pax (all inclusive)

Course Funding: Not subsidized

Accreditation: Standard First Aid with CPR and AED Certificate (2 years validity) accredited by NFAC and NRC upon successful completion of course and assessment.

FAQs

Are there requirements to enter the event?

Minimum age: 12 years old above.

Re-requisites: Must be medically fit with no pre-exisiting medical conditions such as knee, spinal, joint injury. Please consult your doctor before attending the course.

How to I pay for the course?

Upon registration, an invoice will be sent to your registered address. Payment can be done by Cheque, Cash, NETS, Bank Transfer. If bank transfer payment is preferred, do inform the Zoe at jiahui@avanta.com.sg details will be send to you.

Please note that training is only confirmed with full payment.

Is this course subsidized?

Not Subsidized.

S$180 per pax (all inclusive of training materials, assessment fees, GST).

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

What's the refund policy?

The Company does not refund but you are allowed to transfer your seats. Please give notice of at least 07 working days.Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Your registration can be transferred but you will have to inform Zoe at jiahui@avanta.com.sg at least 7 working days in advance. Administrative charges will apply for any no show or last minute changes.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

As Certificate will be issued upon completion of this training, please ensure that your details are correct. Any request for amendment to the certificate will be charged $20 per certificate/ card.
