A storytelling workshop to help you identify messages about basic environmental principles in stories you already know!

<p>"I want to help the environment, but I don't tell Nature stories." No problem. STORIES YOU ALREADY KNOW have messages about connections, responsibility, unintended consequences, and other basic environmental principles. PhD biologist/storyteller Fran Stallings will show the green side of familiar stories; help you find it in your own repertory; and consider whether (or how much) to emphasize environmental advocacy. We will discuss the deeper meanings of universally enjoyable folk tales and learn where to find more for your students, touching on curriculum-integrated applications in other subject areas such as language arts, history, math, etc. Most important, you’ll leave with stories ready-to-tell.</p>
