Can I join late or leave early?

I will let people in for the first few minutes, after which the call will be closed to avoid disrupting the flow. I understand if you need to step away from your computer during the call, or something causes you to leave early, but ideally be plan to be present for the whole session.

Why are cis-men excluded from the invite?

Accepted Answer

I want to create a space where quieter voices can feel heard and safe, which means managing attendance to do that. But I firmly believe all people and genders can benefit from sitting in circle, so if this event isn't right for you I encourage you to look for others that are.

Question 3

Is what I share confidential?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely, all attendance are asked to keep whatever they hear in confidence, to treat what they hear with kindness and compassion, and to avoid giving comfort or advice to each other.

Is this like therapy?

Accepted Answer

No, I'm not a trained therapist and can't offer medical advice or support. Circle is a space the attendees create together - we offer each other our attention and time, and a place to safely share our stories. For some people this can be healing, for others it simply provides the joy of connection.

What can I talk about at circle?

Accepted Answer

No topics are off limits. The confidential, non-judgmental guardrails help to make it safe to talk about whatever is on your mind. Sometimes it will be open, sometimes I'll suggest a theme to guide us. If you find a topic difficult, please step away and take whatever steps you need to feel safe.
