Join Nek Selampit for an online STORY CRAFT session for young audiences and those young at heart!
About this event
Join Nek Selampit for a telling of Pak Belang and His Reflection, a fable from the Kancil series for the young audiences to enjoy! Attendees can join in chants and refrains throughout the telling and be guided by Nek Selampit to create their very own popsicle tiger puppet for keeps.
What you'll need to prepare:
- 4 Ice-cream sticks (coloured with orange marker in-advance)
- 2 Google eyes/ 2 cut-out white circles/ 2 circle-shaped white stickers
- Black marker
- Orange coloured paper
- Scissors (assistance from an adult is advised)
- Glue
This workshop is suitable for children aged 4-8 years.
This workshop will be conducted via the Zoom platform. Participants do not need a Zoom account to take part in the workshop.

About the Facilitator
Jumaini is a published author and is well-known for her storytelling persona, Nek Selampit. She heads Storyscribblers which provides quality literary workshops for students and preschool educators. In 2017, Jumaini became the first storyteller to be appointed as a Language Ambassador by the Malay Language Council-Singapore.

Cancellation:
The workshop can be cancelled or postponed two weeks before the workshop date if the minimum number of participants is not met. Participants will be fully refunded for workshops cancelled by us.
Participants who are unable to attend a workshop they have registered for are to inform us of the reason two weeks before the workshop date. They will be fully refunded in the event of extenuating and mitigating circumstances (E.g. illness, bereavement, accidents) . Those who inform us up to 5 working days before the workshop date will receive a 50% refund. Those who did not turn up at the workshop will not receive a refund.
Upon registration, you are deemed to have read and understood the cancellation and withdrawal policy and accept the terms contained therein.
