About Some Club

Some Club is an artists' residency featuring artists Ferry (dyingtrades.sg) and See Yee (QSY Studio) held at Geylang East and Cheng San Public Library. It introduces materiality experiences and natural making as a medium to invite curiosity, wonder, wandering, community discussion, and exploration of the natural world, as well as the ways we live and the places we live in.

  • Geylang East Public Library: 4 May - 15 June 2024
  • Cheng San Public Library: 1 June - 15 June 2024

Specially curated and facilitated by our artists-in-residence, the libraries will play host to a suite of free public programmes for children and adults alike! Programmes include making sessions, interactive storytelling, walking tours and more! Follow someclub.is on Instagram to be updated.

Embark on a whimsical journey with folktales passed down through the generations using handcrafted noise makers made from natural materials! Twigs transform into rhythmic percussion, leaves, seeds and river stones come alive to tell untold stories. See how natural instruments resonate as they become the heartbeat of these special storytelling sessions. Together, every rustle, every beat, and every tone contributes to creating a world of fantastical stories and you get to be a part of it!
