About this event

  • 1 hour

Experience a taste of undergraduate study with our Subject Matters lecture series. During these sessions you’ll take part in a taster lecture delivered by one of our students on a topic related to their degree. After the lecture there’ll also be time for a lively discussion and debate with fellow prospective students.

Stuck deciding between Criminology and Psychology? Join me, Barbara Smoluch, a graduate (in both!), as I take you through each course, defining what they are and the differences in between as well as the strengths of combining these two popular courses.

In this session, you will learn:

  • The advantages, disadvantages and differences of studying Criminology, Psychology or if you choose to, both!
  • What exams, assessments and dissertations you can expect.
  • A taster topic of the course in relation to childhood and how childhood experiences impact our adulthood with references to Psychopathy, Narcissism and Machiavellianism and personality traits.

There's a lot to unpack and learn, so join me in this 60-minute session - I look forward to seeing you!
