Colin Chia

Colin Chia is the Inventor and patent holder of “Therm-Aire” Solar Thermal Air Conditioning Systems. Therm-Aire has won the IES Prestigious Achievement Awards 2019 & the ASEAN Engineering Achievement Award 2019. He has very strong research interest in energy management and air conditioning technologies His extensive experience in energy management projects includes shopping centres, hospitals, dormitories, hotels, industrial and commercial properties both in Singapore and overseas. He has also collaborated with United Nations for energy management projects in Italy, France and Sudan.

Founder and CEO of Lumani Pte Ltd
With more than 25 years in the high-tech and semiconductor industries, Chris started the company with the vision of combining his experience in high-tech and smart solution for the lighting industries to tackle sustainability and environmental challenges. Besides holding a Master degree in Electrical Engineering, he is also the inventor and patent owner of LumaZones Automatic Switch Mode (US Patent No. : US 9,538,626 B1) which is now installed in Singapore’s 1st Super Low Energy Building at Keppel Bay Tower.

Dr. Michael L. S. Abundo is a green techno-preneur and sustainability specialist with expertise in Integrated Energy Systems and Renewable Energy (particularly marine renewables). Michael’s personal focus is on enabling sustainability through intelligence, leveraging data and information technology to support blue economy sectors. He has over 15 years of experience in various roles in the Sustainability, Energy, Innovation, Research, Development, & Demonstration (RD&D) Ecosystems of the Asia Pacific Region working with academe, industry, and government which involve Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management (Technical and Operational), Product Development, Engineering, Start-ups, Venture Capital, Management Consulting, Corporate Strategy, Technology and Venture Incubation, as well as Design-based Innovation.
