Symphonie De Republique XVII: Monsoons

By Reflections Arts Festival

Overview

Symphonie De Republique XVII: Monsoons is a part of Republic Polytechnic's Reflections Arts Festival 2025.

About the Show

Once shaped by monsoon winds and maritime trade, Singapore grew through its ability to adapt, connect, and endure. In this show, Republic Polytechnic Wind Symphony — joined by fellow music interest groups — draws on that same spirit of resilience, blending symphonic textures with Asian musical influences to reflect on the shifting tides of our time and the importance of collaboration. As we trace the paths of the past and the questions of the present, the concert unfolds with a quiet optimism: that Singapore will continue to find its rhythm and thrive amidst the winds of change.

About the Festival

Ren•dezvous

In celebration of Singapore’s 60th year, the festival brings together diverse voices, stories, and art forms in a vibrant exchange of ideas.•Rooted in the word “人” (ren, meaning “person”), the festival becomes a space where generations meet, cultures collide, and new visions emerge—reminding us that from every encounter, something uniquely Singaporean is created.
