Your smartphone is always with you, learn how to take your smartphone photography to the next level with this 90-minute workhop. With 18 years of experience in professional photography and 8 years of experience teaching mobile photography, I strive to offer a fun, practical and hands-on Zoom workshop on best practices in mobile photography.

The workshop will begin with key tips on how to take sharp and properly exposed smartphone photos. We'll then discuss the 'rules' of photography and composition techniques with visual lessons. We'll move on to discuss the important but often overlooked topic of lighting. You'll learn how to use window light for indoor portraits and open shade for outdoor portraits. We then get into the art of smartphone photography as we delve into 5 things to think about before you take your next photo, and how to approach photography. After all the learning, you'll put into practice what you learned during the photo scavenger hunt. When you've photographed the 3 items, you'll share your photos as I help you learn how to cull and see things with a photographer's eye. We'll then finish off the workshop as I guide you through my favourite photo editing app with a live demonstration as you follow along and edit your photos in real-time.

This workshop will take your photography from start to finish. You will leave the workshop with tips you can use right away and a new approach to smartphone photography for your nature walks, portraits, or travels.
