About this event
Description:
Created and facilitated by Claudine Fernandez (M.A., Education, Harvard Graduate School of Education), author and Founder of Artistic Strategies Academy, this masterclass will:
✏️ Walk you through the fundamentals of creative writing
✏️ Demonstrate how to equip your child with tips and strategies that they can employ to make their writing stand out - not just for their exams, but also for all their literary/written communications beyond the school life
✏️ Provide YOU with the essential tools to guide your child in writing original and captivating narratives
This is for you if you:
✅ Have always wanted to play a more active role in your child's writing journey
✅ Want to mentor and guide your child in becoming a better writer
✅ Want to find out more about the standards of good writing (both academic writing and writing in the real world)
Limited to the first 20 registrants.
All participants will also be given a comprehensive workbook to work on during the masterclass and detailed feedback would be given.
About the instructor:
Claudine Fernandez holds an Arts in Education Master's Degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a B.A. (Hons.) Degree in English Literature from the National University of Singapore. She is a former Ministry of Education teacher and has been teaching English and Literature for more than 15 years in a local junior college, School of the Arts (SOTA) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
Under Claudine's tutelage, her students have participated and won awards in both local and international writing competitions and also published more than 40 books to date. This year, she was also a judge for the prestigious Royal Commonwealth Essay Competition.
In addition, Claudine is the author of the children’s activity books, “Every Child’s Guide to Write Away!" (Volumes 1 & 2). She is also the founder of Artistic Strategies Academy, an educational organization that grooms young writers in Singapore through the arts and offers professional development workshops for parents & educators.
