TechLadies is a community for women to connect, learn and advance as programmers. Part of what we do is the highly subscribed TechLadies Bootcamp that <A HREF="http://www.straitstimes.com/tech/learning-website-founder-was-code-illiterate" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">was featured in the Straits Times.</A>
The TechLadies Bootcamp is a 10-week program where women learn how to code by creating web applications for non-profit organizations, under the guidance of industry experts. 33% of the TechLadies Bootcamp graduates eventually found software-related jobs and internships.
The next TechLadies Bootcamp will run for 10 weeks from 24 Sep - 3 Dec 2016. This is a part-time program where you will be required to attend weekly sessions on Saturday afternoons and code on your own throughout the week. You are required to commit at least 15 hours per week in total.
There will also be 3 pre-bootcamp workshops on 6, 13, 20 Aug (<A HREF="https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/techladies-pre-bootcamp-workshops-tickets-26778545350" TARGET="_blank" REL="noopener noreferrer">you can register for them here</A>) to prepare you for the task you'll need to complete in order to apply to the TechLadies Bootcamp. Join us at this info session where we will share more about the 5 NGOs we are helping this time round, and how you can apply for the TechLadies Bootcamp. We will also hear from 3 speakers exploring the various career options you can have in the tech industry. 
This event is ideal for women who are interested in applying to the TechLadies Bootcamp, or are keen to understand more about the tech industry.

A former lawyer in Singapore, Audrey taught herself programming after office hours after becoming fascinated by the world of computing. Beginning with front-end programming in April 2014, then Go as her first back-end language in July 2014, she loves building software and never ceases to be amazed by computing concepts as she learns along the way. She's spoken at Go conferences internationally and contributed to the Go repository. She's since transitioned to full-time software engineer and is now based in Silicon Valley.

Nithya Sivakumar is Partner Engineer at Facebook. She completed her engineering in Computer Science from India and has since then been working in the technology industry. Through her 5+ years as a software engineer, she has worked in India, UK, Europe, South East Asia and United states. At Facebook, she works closely with partners to enable millions of developers around the world in building rich and engaging social apps using Facebook Platform. She has keen interest in mobile web, HTML5 and other emerging technologies. She is passionate about art, photography and human interface design.

With a deep passion for technology and respect for the power it can harness, Olivia Storelli founded her first company at 17 years old with nothing other than ingenuity and an insatiable drive to build and create.  Since then she has gained extensive experience across industries, countries and technologies and is highly regarded in mobile, web and enterprise communities around the globe. As Founder of the innovative digital solutions technology company Sakura Sky, Olivia’s entrepreneurial spirit has flourished, as has her extensive knowledge of machine learning, software development, product management, integration and digital project services. 
Outside of the art of technology, and the technology of art, her great loves (in no particular order) are horses, family and Italian food.

Seats are limited and dinner is provided. We are unable to accept walk-ins due to building security reasons, please register your interest and do so early!

As we are trying to improve the gender ratio of the tech industry, these workshops are only for women and those who identify as one. We are for-women, but we are not anti-men. Men are still welcome to register!
