About the Author

Jonathan Haidt is a social psychologist teaching the psychology of morality and moral emotions at New York University Stern School of Business. Since 2018, he has studied how social media contributes to the decline of teen mental health and the rise of political dysfunction. His other books deal with moral politics and mental health, including The Happiness Hypothesis, The Righteous Mind, and The Coddling of the American Mind. Haidt is also a parent to two teenagers.
