About this event

The ASCEND Network is a series of networking events designed to help individuals enhance their personal skills while connecting with like-minded people. Held on the last Sunday of every month from May - Aug 2024, attendees have the opportunity to participate in interactive activities and engage in meaningful conversations within the supportive NTU Alumni community, fostering stronger bonds within the network.

Join us for an enriching morning appreciating Japanese and Indonesian cultures through a delectable DIY food-making workshop co-organized by the Japanese Appreciation Club (JAC) and Pelajar Indonesia NTU (PINTU)! Get your hands busy and delve into the art of making Hanami Dango (traditional Japanese rice dumplings adored during cherry blossom season), and Bakso (Indonesian meatballs, a beloved street food exploding with aromatic spices and rich flavors). Let us savour the delightful fusion of Japanese and Indonesian cultures through food.

FACILITATORS' PROFILE

Japanese Appreciation Club (JAC)

Japanese Appreciation Club (JAC) is an events-based club based in Nanyang Technological University. They aim to bring together people who wish to share and learn about Japanese culture. In addition, they form bilateral ties between NTU and Japanese schools through cultural exchanges and events.


Pelajar Indonesia NTU (PINTU)

Pelajar Indonesia NTU (PINTU) is an association for Indonesian students in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore. It was officially founded on 17 August 2002 and has now become one of the most established Indonesian students’ organization in Singapore. We contribute to the livelihood of students in NTU, both Indonesians and non-Indonesians, by organising various activities and initiatives, as well as taking part in many school-organized activities.
