The Enabling Festival 2019 - Talk: Will Writing (English)
Event Information
Description
Talk: Will Writing (English)
This is a frank discussion about end-of-life issues (such as your personal welfare and healthcare arrangements, asset distribution as well as other wishes). Not having a will inconveniences and even causes turmoil for your loved ones when you lose your ability to make decision(s) or pass on. By making your wishes known in advance and ensuring that your affairs will be in order even after your passing, you can put your mind at ease as you enjoy your golden years.
Plan for your future with this talk that aims to educate you on issues relating to end-of-life preparation – personal welfare and healthcare, as well as property and affairs.
About the speaker:
June Lim, Managing Director, Eden Law Corporation
June firmly believes that doing good and making a decent living are not mutually exclusive concepts. As a litigator, she is known for being a straight-shooter – both in Court and with her clients. June is always on the look-out for test litigation and new ways to change the law so that it can better serve the community.
While June has had civil and commercial litigation experience, she is now primarily involved in matrimonial litigation – ranging from divorce for both high net-worth clients and the man on the street, to guardianship, to cross-border divorce and custody matters. In particular, June has a keen interest in matrimonial matters involving disadvantaged women, especially foreign wives living in and outside of Singapore.
June volunteers her legal services with the Law Society’s Pro Bono Services Office, the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme, the Legal Aid Bureau, the Community Justice Centre and HOME, a charity concerned with the rights of migrant workers in Singapore.
