After the enforced hiatus, the iconic music venue Blu Jaz rebrands itself as a no-nonsense jazz club par excellence.

For the first night of our program, we feature a musician whose name has been closely linked with the venue for the past 15 years, always delivering the best original and improvised music, performed by stellar collectives from trio to dectet, and always straight from the heart.

The band tonight: perennial GLQ sideman Darren Moore on drums, with the brilliant Eivind Lodemel on piano, the rock-solid Fabian Lee on electric and upright basses, and led by saxophonist Greg Lyons.

Repertoire revolves around driving Latin and funk grooves, and includes originals from all members of the band.
