About this event

In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of the IRDA’s commencement, this seminar offers insights and actionable take-aways from a comprehensive review of Singapore's Restructuring & Insolvency landscape. We have meticulously analysed all published court decisions and significant statutory changes since 2020, along with the 2025 Committee recommendations. This course distils this extensive research and our collective practical experience into clear and actionable takeaways, key data points and practical perspectives. Participants will gain a clear and practical understanding of emerging trends and critical developments across key topics, including cross-border insolvency, schemes of arrangement, judicial management, winding-up (including the SIP 2.0), receivership, bankruptcy, director duties, asset recovery, and the evolving treatment of digital assets. We will focus on equipping practitioners with concise and strategic knowledge to effectively navigate the current and future R&I environment.

Our learning objectives:

  • Grasp the key statutory and regulatory shifts in Singapore R&I since July 2020 and the core implications of upcoming reform proposal.
  • Identify and understand key data points and practical takeaways from significant R&I court decisions over the past five years, across key topics.
  • Recognise the key considerations in emerging areas like digital asset insolvencies, and the interaction between arbitration and R&I.
  • Apply distilled insights to enhance your R&I practice and navigate common practical issues.
