Calling all parents with young art aficionados – here's a chance to let your child's creativity run wild. The Kidz Academy Colouring & Art Contest is officially open for children between the ages of 5 - 12 years old.

Discover the world of colours and creativity with The Kidz Academy Colouring & Art Contest! The young colourists and creators with the 10 best artworks will be presented with prizes which include Universal Studios Singapore® Admission Tickets for 2 Adults and 1 Child (worth $204) and many other exciting prizes. We will be giving away a total of more than $2,400 in prizes for both categories along with official certificates, determining them to be the best creators and colourists of the contests.

Category 1: TKA Colouring Contest
Age Group: 5 – 8 years old
Theme: My sweet local delights.
Details: Young colourists will be required to give life and colours to Singapore’s iconic delights.

Judging Criteria:
60% - Overall Appeal
30% - Colour Scheme
10% - Colouring Technique


Category 2: TKA Art Contest
Age Group: 9 – 12 years old
Theme: Create your own legend.
Details: Young artists will be required to create their very own legends. Participants may draw ideas and inspirations from local folklores such as Badang, Sang Nila Utama, the Legend of Bukit Merah and more.

Judging Criteria:
50% - Creativity & Imagination
30% - Overall Appeal
20% - Colour Scheme

Date(s) & Time of Contest:
9 – 10 June 2017, Fri & Sat (from 10am to 8.30pm)
11 June 2017, Sun (from 10am to 4.30pm)

Official Prize Ceremony:
The selected winners will be contacted on Sunday, 11 June 2017 to receive the prizes on stage at 6.30pm. The prizes will be delivered to the participants who are not able to receive their prizes on stage.

Contest Admission Fee:
Pre-registration Ticket - $10.00 (+$1.50 admin fee)
Event-day Ticket - $15.00 (cash only)

Terms & Conditions:

1. Every child that falls within the age of 5 to 12 years old in the year 2017 is welcome to participate.
2. An entrance fee applies for every registration: - Single Child ticket - $10.00 (+ $1.50 admin fee)
   - Standard ticket purchase at The Kidz Academy 2017 - strictly cash only at $15.00
3. Strictly no refund is allowed.
4. Participants, who pre-registered for the contest, are required to print the ticket confirmation email and present it at The Kidz Academy 2017.
5. Participants are required to present their student concession pass/birth certificate at The Kidz Academy 2017.
6. Participants will be given an entry form and an official contest entry sheet in A3 size.
7. Participants are allowed to bring any additional colouring materials for the contest except water colours, poster paints and acrylic paints.
8. Participants have to complete their works within the registered date of the contest (9-11 June 2017). Submission after the registered date of the contest will be forfeited.
9. Online registrations will close on 5 June 2017. Walk-ins at The Kidz Academy are subject to availability.
10. The top 10 winning works will be determined by the discretion of the Organiser, sponsors and its partners.
11. The participants with the winning pieces will be required to receive their prizes at The Kidz Academy on Sunday, 11 June 2017 at 6.30pm (timing is subject to change).
12. The Organiser reserves the rights to utilise the submitted artworks for promotional and advertising purposes on any media platforms, and for any commercial use.
13. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any terms and conditions without prior notice.

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the contest?

What is the refund policy?
There is a strictly no refund allowed.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Participants who pre-registered for the contest are required to print the ticket confirmation email along with their IDs and present it at the registration counter at The Kidz Academy 2017.

Is it okay if my child who attends is different from the one registered?
Yes, however, the child must be within the selected age group and must present the ticket confirmation email for verification.
