The Modern Man's Book Club - The Feminist
Overview
About the story
The Feminist is a viral short story which depicts the radicalisation of its titular character, an ostensible feminist, in the face of romantic rejection. A cutting satire of the manosphere, romantic rejection and the driving forces behind such phenomena, Tulathimutte's short story is an excellent read that asks uncomfortable questions and refuses to give comforting answers.
Rejection by Tony Tulathimutte is a collection of interconnected short stories about modern-day rejection in relationships, identity, and the internet. Several have called it the first 'incel novel'.
The story can be found online here: https://www.nplusonemag.com/issue-35/fiction-drama/the-feminist/
We would recommend reading all the stories in Rejection if you have time, as we may refer to them in the discussion. Rejection can be found in NLB in both physical and ebook formats, as well as in bookstores such as Kinokuniya.
