At the 6th Weavers Guild gathering, we all met at a cozy Thai restaurant to explore the theme "The Masks We Wear," discussing how professional freedom, relational dynamics, and empathy shape the personas we present. Key insights included the idea that authenticity can be multifaceted, masks can serve protective and empathetic roles, and vulnerability often leads to practical wisdom. With a no-devices, no-sales-first policy, the group emphasized real connection over performance, highlighting the unique value of safe, honest spaces in contrast to typical networking events.

In our 7th meeting, we’ll dive into the hidden talents that only surfaced when entrepreneurship demanded more from us than we expected. We’ll explore the surprising skills we’ve developed along the way—abilities we may not have recognized in ourselves until faced with real-world challenges. This conversation will also reflect on how these unique traits and strengths influence the way we run our businesses, make decisions, and connect with others.

Yes, out of respect of each other's time, we will keep our phones off and in a box in front of everyone's view. This is for a mindful experience, but also in the spirit of privacy, as there could be deeper sharing which we might not want to reveal to the public.
Running / Starting a business is a lonely journey. I have been through depression and found that no friend of family member could really understand. Networking events are also about closing deals. This guild is started as a support for entrepreneurs.
We want to create a safe space where members are able to openly share without being sold products and services. We welcome business connections and deal-making outside of the meetings - just not within the 90 minutes when we are together.
