Design is one of the most sought after 21st century skills. It exists in conjunction with engineering, law, medicine, technology, journalism, education and so on.

'Thinking like a Designer' will give you a critical and creative insight into what design can do, how it operates, where it can be applied and what it can achieve. This bootcamp is designed specifically for the age group of 14-17 year olds to be able to harness what design has to offer as they build the foundations of their professional and creative futures.

This is a 4 session bootcamp spread across 4 weeks.

Who this is for:

- Young explorers interested in a hands-on introduction to design and its processes.

- Young makers with a passion towards creativity and interested in exploring it as a professional possibility.

- Young thinkers who wonder how things are conceptualised and made.

Learnings from this workshop:

1. Identify : Participants will be able to identify design and imagine its specific audiences.

2. Application : Participants will learn how design is applied to objects around us and has become an intrinsic part of our lives.

3. Collaborate : Participants will work in collaboration with each other.

4. Listen: Participants will design for others and learn how to empathise with their users.

5. Create : Participants will become familiar with the design process from beginning to end through building a prototype themselves.

About the Founders and Facilitators:

Radhika Agrawal:

Radhika is currently a Service and Experience Designer working across multiple industries such as Finance, Healthcare, Education and others, where she uses design to communicate and design user experiences. She previously completed her Masters in Service Design from the Royal College of Arts in London.

Siddhi Gupta:

Siddhi is a visual communication designer working at the intersection of culture, communication and education. Siddhi is the Design and Communication Lead at Justice Adda and the Visual Arts Expert with Nalandaway Foundation where she is currently working for the Delhi Board of School Education. Siddhi has also previously done her Masters in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Arts in London.
