Thugshop Presents – Cloudy Ku

May closes off with a return from Cloudy Ku after a year away.

The Taiwan born, Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ and labelhead will be in our cages on the 31st, coming through with a promise for an intense Saturday night workout — fusions of techno, trance, experimental sounds, and gabber intensity rattling our walls.

Speaking to Mixmag Asia ahead of her Asian tour, Cloudy Ku said: “This trip is really about reconnecting with the communities deeply rooted in queer, feminist, and subcultural art.” 

A staunch believer in gender equality and diverse representation, she founded HER 他 and SPEED 速度 – platforms that promote inclusivity for local and international artists through discourse and dance parties, exploring issues of gender equality while supporting all who contribute to the music and art communities.

Bussy Temple’s Howrøng opens the floor on the night, while Halal Sol and Suffyan orchestrate the grooves Upstairs.
