Widely regarded as one of Japan's most potent techno exports, Wata Igarashi is known for his remarkable skill of building tension and that sweet euphoric release. Armed with a surgical sense for reading the floor, his measured control of frequencies and intensities makes it impossible for the dancefloor to not enter a state of trance when he commands it.
Wata Igarashi has lifted the floors of Strasbourg’s KALT, Berlin’s Berghain, London’s fabric, and New York’s Nowadays, as well as clubs all across Japan.
But his reputation is built on more than just the peak hours – that surgical sense is also displayed on his production work, released on labels such as The Bunker NY, Omnidisc, and Bitta.
