Going Through - an Exhibition on Being Vulnerably Human

EN: Going Through is a raw exploration of mental wellness and emotional endurance; a movement through states of tension, fragmentation, and quiet resilience. Focusing on process over product, artists Karolina Prom (United Kingdom) and Wei Lieh Lee (Singapore) reveal the (in)visible layers of inner survival through materials like rope, tape, glass, and the body itself. While Karolina’s works lean into vulnerability through stripped back forms and neutral tones, Wei introduces bursts of vivid colour, a contrasting yet complementary language of expression. Together their practices invite viewers to step into intimate, often uncomfortable spaces where clarity is fleeting and healing is nonlinear. Going Through does not promise transformation, but honours the radical act of becoming. Join us on Saturday 23rd August from 16:00 for the opening. We look forward to seeing you there!

NL: Going Through is een rauwe verkenning van mentaal welzijn en emotioneel uithoudingsvermogen; een beweging doorheen toestanden van spanning, fragmentatie en stille veerkracht. Kunstenaars Karolina Prom (Verenigd Koninkrijk) en Wei Lieh Lee (Singapore) richten zich op het proces boven het product en onthullen de (on)zichtbare lagen van innerlijke overleving door middel van materialen zoals touw, tape, glas en het lichaam zelf. Terwijl Karolina's werk kwetsbaarheid benadrukt door middel van uitgepuurde vormen en neutrale tinten, introduceert Wei uitbarstingen van levendige kleuren, een contrasterende maar complementaire taal van expressie. Samen nodigen hun werk de toeschouwer uit om intieme, vaak ongemakkelijke ruimtes te betreden waar helderheid vluchtig is en genezing niet-lineair.Going Through belooft geen transformatie, maar eert de radicale daad van het worden.Kom op zaterdag 23 augustus vanaf 16:00 uur naar de opening.
