TinkerFest 2025 – Build Your Own Moving Automata (Choose Your Session)

This Christmas, step into the world of mechanical magic.
In this hands-on workshop, young makers will design, build, and animate their own self-moving automata using LittleBits sensors and servos — the same tech used in museum exhibits and mini-animatronics.

🛠️ What you’ll do in this session:

• Learn how cams, cranks, gears & linkages make things move
• Build an automata creature, character, puppet or festive scene
• Use LittleBits electronics to add motion, lights & personality
• Experiment with cardboard engineering and mechanical design
• Show off your final build in a mini “motion showcase”

👦👧 Who is this for?
Ages 8–12, no prior building or coding experience required
Drop-off format — parents do not need to stay
