In this engaging one-day workshop, Chanakarn Semachai, also known as Punch, will guide participants through the process of crafting her signature sculptural lidded jar. She will begin with a short, casual artist lecture and Q&A session, discussing her background and how she crafts narrative works.
She will then demonstrate her building process for vessels and sculptural embellishments, as well as her intricate underglaze techniques, including watercoloring, sgraffito, wash, and using underglaze pencils.
This is a hands-on workshop, encouraging participants to get their hands dirty and unleash their creativity. By the end of the session, attendees will have the skills to craft and decorate their own unique sculptural vessels, empowering them to create art that reflects their personal style.
