Trail Chats: Intertidal Walk with Zoee @ Changi Beach🌊✨
A special sunrise edition of Trail Chats — We’re teaming up with Zoee, a field ecologist and nature photographer, for a guided walk along the intertidal shores of Changi Beach. Join us before the sun rises and see the coastline come alive with hidden creatures you’d never spot in the daylight.
🪸 What’s Happening
As we walk along the shore at low tide, Zoee will guide us through the intertidal zone — pointing out creatures like sea stars, sea cucumbers, crabs, snails, clams, and more. The dark hours are when many of these critters feel safest to come out, so we’re getting there after sunset to catch the magic.
👟 What to Bring & Wear:
- A torchlight or headlamp
- Water shoes or old sandals you’re okay getting wet (Crocs work too!)
- Comfortable clothing
- Drinking water
- A small towel or wet wipes for after
There’s a wash area nearby, so you’ll be able to rinse off your feet post-walk.
⚠️ Accessibility Note
This walk involves 1.5 hours of slow walking on uneven, sometimes wet and slippery ground. If you have any physical mobility concerns or saltwater-related allergies, this might not be the best fit — but we hope to see you at future events!
Trail Chats is a monthly gathering for women in their 20s & 30s to connect meaningfully, explore their surroundings, and slow down — this edition will be a little more barefoot and wild, and we can’t wait to see you there.
