About this event

When we were younger, someone shared with us, the power of study groups, where learning is maximised and amplified, through the sharing of knowledge, perspectives and understanding. When we learn together, we find that the learning and knowledge is enhanced, and becomes more meaningful and beneficial in the work we do.

Training Tuesdays sets out to achieve this objective, in how we approach learning and knowledge expansion. Also, it is aligned to our approach in developing and cultivating a sense of community, in the space of wellbeing.

The topics that we choose for these Tuesday sessions, are all related to wellbeing, in one way or another. It is areas that we are interested in and curious about, and we believe will benefit the community at large.

Starting with mindfulness and its relevance in the years to come, expanding into learning about Tai Chi and Qigong, and about our body, and also into the spaces of trauma, and its impact on our mind and body.

If you are curious, and keen to learn, please do join us for the sessions!

Frequently asked questions

How do we know which topic you are covering for which session?

Honestly, we do not know too :) Because some topics take a few more sessions to cover, as compared to others, such as the ones on trauma, that would potentially run for many more weeks. So you can drop us an email at champions@centreforcommunitywellbeing.asia, to enquire.

Do I need to attend all sessions?

Yes and no. Depends on how deep you would like to go into for each of the topics.

What do I need for the sessions?

A stable wifi connection, writing materials, some water to keep you hydrated, some snacks to munch on, if you have the habit, and a device that has a working camera and microphone. We will prefer to see who we are having a conversation with, and also to hear the voices of those participating.

Are the topics hard to follow?

Some might be, and might require prior knowledge and experience. For example the sessions on mindfulness and trauma. However, because we are learning in a group, we can support each other in the learning. Questions are welcome!

We advocate for community wellbeing through bringing together, and equipping, a movement of Community Wellbeing Champions (CWC) to join us in advocating for self care and social care.

CWCs join us in community sessions, to receive support and mini trainings, on promoting wellness in our communities, and to co-create community wellbeing initiatives and strategies, that will support and benefit the respective communities.
