Did you know there’s a church in the city that walks the streets at night to check in on the rough sleepers?
Or that a housing block was once a vibrant party spot in town—and is now a vibrant mix of community breakfasts, inclusive bakeries, and stories of everyday care?
These are the stories tucked within the vibrant neighbourhood of Selegie-Prinsep.
Foundry Layered Trails is a 2-hour, socially-minded walking tour through one of Singapore’s civic district. This experience takes you into the quiet corners of the neighbourhood to explore themes like homelessness, migrant worker safety, elderly loneliness, mental health, and inclusive employment.
This soft launch is the very first run of the trail - It’s intimate, personal, and limited to just 12 spots.
Why we created this trail
When we moved into this neighbourhood, we quickly realised it was layered with stories—of history, generosity and grit. So we walked the ground to uncover what lies beneath the surface. The result? A trail that helps us see the city, its unseen needs, and community mobilisation differently.
