Overview

Presented as part of COMMA Creative Arts Festival 2026 by *SCAPE. 17 & 18 January 2026, 2pm-3pm.

Unnatural is an experimental performance that transforms a dancer’s body into a live instrument. Using Embody, a dance-controlled musical interface with movement sensors developed by the artist, where physical gestures will generate and transform sound. This interdisciplinary work challenges conventional cause-effect dynamics and the expected relationship between dance and music. Forging an intentionally unnatural yet compelling dialogue between movement and sonic expression, dissolving the boundary between dancer and musician while showcasing dance as the driving force behind sonic creation.
