Visit to Tai Pei Old People's Home by the Buddhist Library

Every year, the Buddhist Library resident Sangha leads a visit to the Tai Pei Old People’s Home at Jalan Ampas to distribute ang pows—pre-packed by the Buddhist Library—and bring some cheer to the residents. If you would like to come join the Bhantes in distributing ang pows to the residents, you are welcome!

A note about what’s been happening these few years

Ever since safety management measures were introduced in 2020, the time for interaction with residents is relatively short. You will be meeting only ambulant residents in the 1st floor common area, as visits up to the living quarters of the other residents is not encouraged.

Donation of ang pows

The Buddhist Library pre-packs red packets (ang pows), and if you are coming, staff will distribute them to you so you can gift them to the elderly. We will pack about 80 ang pows for the 80-odd residents there, and also distribute some red packets to the Home's staff.

Instructions

1. If you would like to attend:

-Please complete this EventBrite registration.
-Please meet directly at Tai Pei Old People's Home and be punctual.
-Look for Bhante or Buddhist Library staff once you get there.
-Kindly do not attend if you are not feeling well.
