Event Information
About this event
WHAT?
Participants will take a journey back in time as they explore the world where ink drawings meet watercolours. Looking back a traditional method of book illustration, the theme running through the course would be storytelling.
Favourite stories would be explored – with hope that their own visual stories would emerge.
Course Objectives
Participants will explore a combination of pen-and-ink, as well as watercolour techniques. This includes exploration in mark-making such as hatching and stippling to create details and exciting textures. Traditional watercolour techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brushing will also be explored.
