About this event

Through a series of practical exercises and projects, participants will learn how to create captivating watercolour art on paper. The course will cover foundational painting techniques, color theory, perspectives, and compositions. Participants will developed the skills to enjoy creating delightful watercolour art on a varied range of projects such as bookmarks, post-cards, and toned paper. Samples shown are only for illustration purpose.

• Appreciate and understand the watercolour medium.

• Ability in painting different themes with watercolour.

• Understand the light and shadow of water-colouring.

• Ability in creating watercolour painting with texture.

Art Materials provided: Watercolour paint sets, brushes, papers.

Participants to bring from home (Not included in the Art Materials Provided).

  • 2 Containers for washing the paint brushes
  • Used cloth or paper towels (For wiping of brushes)
  • Pencil and erasers
  • Mini spray bottle for activating paints

COURSE FEE:

$290 is the full course fee.

$58 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy*

*NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.

In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).

Payment Procedure:

1) Upon registration, course participants are to make payment for the course through Brahm Centre’s Eventbrite page. This is considered as a deposit to reserve a place in the course.

2) Participants have to claim with SFC before the course start date through the SkillsFuture portal, https://www.myskillsfuture.gov.sg/

3) Brahm Centre will reimburse the amount that is successfully claimed upon receipt of the funds from SFC. This procedure can take up to 12 weeks from the course end date.


Notes:

  • Please note that payments for courses are non-refundable.
  • There are no make-up lessons if you miss any session.
  • If you miss the any session, you are allowed to proceed with the course. However, the trainer is not obligated to do a recap.
  • Brahm Centre reserves the right to replace a trainer, should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.

Trainer Bio:

Lee Lee Nee was trained by late Batik artist Tsarkasi Said in the 1990’s. Lini Lee developed a strong passion for art and was subsequently taught by local artists, Kelvin Seah and John Toh. Since 2019 She has taught watercolour courses, acrylic and mixed media art courses at a senior centre as well as a youth group from Hope Alliance.She is a certified Associative Instructor in Nagomi Pastel Art. She is excited to impart her varied experiences to draw out the creative self within those who are seeking restful stress-release outlets of calm and self-fulfilment.
