I am an absolute beginner. Is this class suitable for me?

I designed Watercolour Demystified for beginners! It covers all the core skills you need with plenty of time to practise. Plus, I'll share lots of helpful information on identifying and fixing mistakes.

I’ve taken several classes before. Will this still be relevant and useful for me?

My watercolour class offers unique information and instructions, benefiting even students with prior art qualifications or other class experience. I’m confident that you will gain more than you expect out of it!

Question 3

Do you teach children?

Accepted Answer

Yes I do, but preferably above the age of 14. This is because Watercolour is challenging and requires good motor skills and understanding of basic theories. Young children will benefit much more  from my class when they are a little older.

What’s the difference between the 4-Day Watercolour Unlocked and the 8-Day Watercolour Demystified?

My 8-Day Watercolour Demystified is very comprehensive and well paced. It allows for more time for in class demonstrations, practise and troubleshooting.  The 4-Day Watercolour Unlocked is a compact version that caters to those who cannot commit to 8 sessions.

Do you recommend 8 days or 4 days then?

I highly recommend the 8-Day Watercolour Demystified for the best learning experience. Mastering skills requires deep understanding, feedback, repetition and dedicated practice. The longer class duration allows me to tailor instruction for you for immediate application.

Question 6

What is the difference between this private class vs your NAFA clas

Accepted Answer

The main advantage of NAFA is that it is eligible for Skills Future & National Silver Academy funding. However, the max class size  for NAFA is 12.  My private class starts with 3 & is capped at 5/6. Unlike NAFA, all materials are provided and are artist quality. Plus there are refreshments too.

Question 7

Isn’t 3 and a half hours per session a little long?

I guarantee you won’t even notice the time pass! Unlike lecture-based academic classes where information is primarily disseminated, creative classes tend to be longer because they involve a significant amount of hands-on practice, experimentation, production and iterative refinement.

Question 8

Can you come to my home for private one-to-one lessons?

Accepted Answer

Yes I can. However, I still recommend attending classes in my studio as the space is fully equipped with art materials and tools, allowing for a more complete and efficient learning experience. While I do offer off-site instruction when needed, it often limits the scope of what I can provide.

Your fee seems high.

Accepted Answer

If you break it down, you’ll find that you are only paying $30/hr.  Value for money considering you get a small class size, personalised coaching, over 3.5 hours per session, artist materials, access to videos, exclusive notes, a conducive learning environment & a competent instructor. ^_^ Join me!
