🌍 Nature for Climate for You: Webinar with Dr. Steve Teo

We’re excited to invite you to our new programme, Nature for Climate for You—a series of engaging events spotlighting scientists, practitioners, and advocates working at the crossroads of nature and climate.

Join us for our inaugural webinar featuring Dr. Steve Teo, a climate and ecosystem scientist whose work empowers smarter, science-driven nature-based solutions for the world today.

🌳 About the Webinar

CLIMATE AND ECOSYSTEM SCIENCE TO INFORM NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS

In this session, Steve will explore how forests can play a powerful role in combating climate change, and how smart policies and economic tools can amplify their impact. Drawing from his research across climate science, economics, and environmental data, Steve will share insights into:

  • The real-world benefits and trade-offs of nature-based climate solutions
  • How satellite data, ecosystem modelling, and machine learning can guide decision-making
  • Why better data, risk management, and policy support are critical for scaling impact

👨‍🔬 About the Speaker

Steve recently completed his PhD at the National University of Singapore while based in the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions (CNCS). He is now a Research Fellow at the Technical University of Munich. His work supports climate-smart land-use policy, credible climate finance, and urban planning that works with nature—not against it.
