Pulau Ubin remains one of Singapore’s last rustic islands, offering a glimpse into a bygone era of fishing villages, granite quarries, and coconut plantations. Tour-goers will discover the island’s historical significance, from its role in Singapore’s early economic development to its vibrant ecosystem today. Through immersive storytelling, participants will hear about how islanders once traded with the mainland and how Pulau Ubin has remained a vital part of Singapore’s natural and cultural heritage.
Participants will take a scenic bumboat ride to Pulau Ubin, a journey that sets the tone for an immersive experience on Singapore’s last true kampong island. Upon arrival, they will be introduced to the island’s rich history, heritage, and traditional way of life. A guided exploration of a former kampong will offer a glimpse into the island’s rustic charm, showcasing fishing villages, granite quarries, and local traditions. The tour ends with an engaging Q&A session, where participants can learn more about Ubin’s past and present from experienced guides.

- Ground Level of Changi Point Ferry Terminal (near flagpoles) (51 Lor Bekukong Singapore 499172) - Not to be confused with the SAF Ferry Terminal
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the event for registration.
- Parking is available at Changi Village Hawker Centre.
- Venue is not wheelchair accessible.
- The event will proceed rain or shine.
Who should come?
- Participants must be 13 years and above to participate.
What to bring?
- Participants should bring along an umbrella, hand sanitisers, insect repellent, and a bottle of water.
- Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and wear covered shoes for hiking/trekking.
- Participants are encouraged to bring their own earphones (with a standard 3.5mm audio jack) because we will be using radio guides for the tour!
- Asthmatic individuals are encouraged to bring their inhaler.
- Individuals with seasickness should carry their medicine along.

- If you are feeling unwell or are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket. Registered participants who fail to turn up for any reason are required to pay My Community S$50. This is the true cost of the tour.
