Do you know much about Organisation Development (OD)?
Targeted at Corporates, HR Professionals in organisations and consultants/freelancers interested in Organisational Development (OD), Christian Chao and Douglas O'Loughlin intend to share through a webinar that would help people understand the field of Organisation Development; its applications for Adult Educators, and in facilitating development and change.
The session will not only help create partnership between people and communities, particularly between the IAL Adult Education Network (AEN) and the Organisation Development Network Singapore (ODNS) community, but also have participants walkaway with practical OD tools, organisational design principles and useful resources that can be applied at their workplaces and organisations. This partnership would be in both connections and content, as there is so much we can learn from each other. At the end, they will be offering information on how people can join the ODNS community (all free) and provide resources people would find useful to learn more.
Quick Glimpse
In terms of the session itself, the purpose is to get an introduction to some of the key principles of the field of OD and how they can relate to adult education and in dealing with uncertainty. The session will also be practical, with a chance to work through a process that participants can benefit from and use in their own practice.

About the Speakers
A systems thinker, Christian Chao specialises in organisation development, learning design, competency development, knowledge management, change management as well as organisation excellence. Over the years, he has held several roles within the public service, non-profits, civil society and corporates.
Douglas O'Loughlin has been in the field of OD since 1988. His PhD research was on how the frameworks and tools of Adult Developmental, Psychology, Action/Leadership Logics and Action Inquiry, can impact Personal and Organisation Development. He has also written "Facilitating Transformation: 12 Strategies for Creating Breakthroughs with Groups" as a way to share what seems to be working as a consultant/facilitator.
