❤️ Why We Love the Way We Do: Unravelling your deepest pains + beliefs

Overview

A 3-hour group psychotherapy session

[Setting: Casual, cosy, easy-going, laid-back, loungey, pillow talk, floor mats]

This topic revolves around understanding the way we form attachments, how our emotional blueprints show up and as such how our lives play out the way it does.

In this 3-hour group psychotherapy session we will:

❤️ Complete a clinical assessment to identify your core schemas — the deep emotional themes that shape how you think, feel, and relate.

❤️ Understand your attachment style through a guided assessment, uncovering the patterns that influence how you seek closeness, handle distance, and respond to emotional needs.

❤️ Establish your core beliefs — the stories you’ve carried about safety, love, worthiness, and trust — and begin to see how they were formed.

❤️ Clearly map out your attachment blueprint and notice how it shows up across every area of your life: in love, friendships, family, and even in the relationship you have with yourself.

❤️ Recognise what secure attachment looks and feels like — understand the traits of secure relating and how they differ from anxious, avoidant, or disorganised patterns.

❤️ Learn and practise moving toward secure attachment — discover how to shift from reactive, fear-based responses to steadier ones

❤️ Notice how your outer world shifts — as you grow more secure within, you begin naturally attracting healthier friendships, partners, and life situations.

❤️ Experience a rise in self-worth and self-love — not as an affirmation, but as a lived truth that emerges when you feel safe, seen, and enough.

Facilitated by psychotherapist Lou through a mix of psychoeducation, guided reflection, experiential activities, group sharing and other therapeutic modalities.

"Thank you holding this session Lou!! I learnt things that I've not been exposed to in my therapy session. Some of the practices were easier for me than the other.. it is interesting to know that we are able to change our past."

"I have spent years in therapy, but the profound insights I gained from Lou’s 2-day session were truly transformative. For the first time, I could see the 'why's behind my behaviors and my automatic inclinations to engage in 'seemingly logical' behavior but they are driven by fear and other self-defeating cycles that originated from old, protective survival strategies.

The generosity of Lou's preparation was evident in the detailed questionnaires and personalized results, which gave us hard data to ground our understanding. There is immense comfort not just in talking, but in finding the measurable roots of your thoughts and actions even when it means doing the hard work. The ultimate gift was this crucial understanding: I am not what happened to me. This separation is the key to moving from reactive patterns to conscious, empowered responses. While the heavy work continues, I can say for sure that this 2-day workshop is not a conclusion, but the most empowering beginning."

The attachment style group therapy has been really insightful. I got to learn about my own attachment style in deep detail. It felt like I was peeling myself layer by layer, to see clearly the core beliefs that I have been holding to, and how it shows up in my thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

Most importantly, I learnt that we can take micro steps to shift towards secure attachment so that we have a healthier relationship with our loved ones, where we feel seen, heard, and understood.

Thank you, Lou, for holding the safe spaces for all of us, for fruitful reflection and discussion, and where we can just show up as we are.

-Lina

Whether you’re working through something, or simply needing space to breathe — you’re warmly welcome.

Let's unlearn the voices that told you you weren’t enough.

This group offers a supportive space to begin healing the relationship you have with yourself. this is a place to come home to yourself, as you are.

🏵️Disclaimer - This particular run of group therapy is on-going in a drop-in format, with no commitment or long-term attendance required. This makes it accessible and flexible — but do note:

  • Because there is no consistent group or ongoing therapeutic relationship, the depth of emotional processing and impact may vary from session to session, unless you intend to attend on a regular frequency.

  • Attending more regularly can support deeper transformations and continuity, but nonetheless each session is still designed to offer meaningful insights and tools, whether it’s your first or fifth time.

  • This is not a substitute for individual therapy but a gentle, guided space to pause, connect, and heal — at your own pace.
