Event description

Description

Please join us for Writing the City in February 2020.

Join us as we tease out songful reveries through descriptive writing. In February, Benedict Lim, with help from Uma Bhojraj, will be sharing their tips on descriptive writing.

Together, we’ll be:

- Discovering what descriptive writing is all about
- Learning techniques on descriptive writing
- Trying our hands at descriptive writing
- Studying editing approaches for our descriptive writings

Also, participants who previously submitted 500-1,000 words for critique in January will have their work critiqued with a constructive (and compassionate) approach.

Benedict Lim

As an avid storyteller, Benedict is forever fascinated to explore storytelling in all forms, extending beyond writing and into dance and theatre - he volunteers for The Birds Migrant Theatre too. He continues this journey, lending his voice to the stories he finds between the sunsets of the two cities he calls home - Kota Kinabalu and Singapore.

REGISTER above and further details will be emailed to you.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: *** Please note that access to the lift at Toa Payoh Public Library will not be available from 2 January 2020 to 31 March 2020 due to lift replacement works. ***

Hope to see you in February.
