Overview

You’ve got goals — but how do you get there?

What we intend to do?

This mentorship session aims to turn career confusion into a clear action plan. Learn with Nadia on how to identify your starting point, explore realistic career pathways, and set short- and long-term milestones that lead you to your dream role.

Who is the mentor?

Nadiah has over 14 years of experience in Finance, Continuous Improvement, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE). She began her career at Brunei LNG and has since advanced to a leadership role. Her key accomplishments include spearheading the COVID Return to Site (RTS) assurance protocol to ensure business continuity and implementing HSSE policies through a risk-based matrix for the development of a long-term safety culture and sustainable safety practices.

Nadiah is adaptable and committed to her professional growth. She successfully transitioned from a non-technical to a technical field, becoming the first Bruneian female in Brunei LNG to be certified as a SHELL Qualified Assessor for HSSE Critical Leaders. She is also a certified Lead Auditor for the International Ship and Port Facility (ISPS) Code as well as the Asset Management System (AMS). Earlier in the year, she was appointed as the lead assessor for the “SULUH” FTX exercise on National Supply Disruption by the Department of Energy, Prime Minister Officer, to assess the national readiness during power outages.

In her current role, she explores opportunities to promote and strengthen workplace safety and health practices through collaboration with government agencies and industries, leveraging best practices to ensure that Brunei is a safe place to work and live.

Through her advocacy, she has created the Standard Committee for Health and Safety (SCHS) under the Majilis Standard dan Akredetasi Brunei Darussalam (MSABD), Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE) where the committee focuses on overseeing safety and health standards in the workplace.

Nadiah’s achievements showcase not only her professional dedication but also her personal commitment. She is the co-founder of the Occupational Safety and Health Workers Association (OSHWA) and has served as a worker representative for Brunei Darussalam at the 113th International Labour Conference (ILC), Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, she promotes the protection of workers and highlights the importance of safety in the workplace.

Additionally, she serves as the Chairperson of the Technical Committee for Scaffolding (TCS) and is a member of the Governing Board for the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society (BRC).
