YPN Mentorship WeCan with Saifullah Jamil

By Young Professionals Network Brunei

Overview

Sometimes, falling isn’t failure it’s Allah’s way of teaching us how to stand taller next time.

What we intend to do?

In this mentorship session, Saiful Jamil will share how setbacks, failures, and imperfection can become stepping stones for growth and purpose. Drawing on over a decade of experience in healthcare and human resources, he will reflect on lessons learned about resilience, empathy, and navigating challenges with humility and clarity. Participants will be encouraged to understand that no one is perfect including Saiful himself and that what matters most is living intentionally and guided by strong values.

The session will explore the importance of niat (intention), values, and empathy in shaping our actions and decisions, as well as the role of supportive networks, including mentors, family, and faith, in sustaining perseverance. Participants will also discover how self-awareness, self-reflection, and gratitude can help transform failures into meaningful growth.

By the end of the session, participants will be reminded that imperfection is part of the human experience, and that true strength comes from maintaining integrity, acting with compassion, and learning from every challenge. As Saiful puts it:

“Sometimes, falling isn’t failure it’s Allah’s way of teaching us how to stand taller next time.”
