The Metis Institute is a small, rigorous psychotherapy and counselling training institute where Transactional Analysis is taught in dialogue with Jungian depth psychology, archetypal thinking, embodied practice, and arts-based methods.
Our Mission
Our mission is to train psychotherapists who can meet the unseen with both rigour and creativity, reintroducing the unconscious, symbolic expression, and embodied knowing as central to therapeutic work.
What We Host
We host introductory events and learning spaces, including TA101 (the internationally recognised introduction to Transactional Analysis), “What is Depth TA?” online sessions, and Open Evenings to help you experience our training culture and explore the pathway towards counselling, psychotherapy, and CTA (Certified Transactional Analyst).
Who Our Events Are For
Our events are especially suited to career changers, early-career helpers, and anyone seeking a clear psychological framework for human behaviour and communication, without losing contact with what is alive, symbolic, and often unspoken.
Where We Are Based
Our in-person training takes place near Gatwick Airport at Worth School, Turners Hill, West Sussex, with a residential option available for some programmes.
