Davis Winterstock
In 1983, a few friends sat around a table at the local cafe drinking their morning coffee. The cafe was in desperate need of a new roof, so they brainstormed ideas for raising money.
The idea was proposed that they all put on a play. A play! What in the world did they know about acting? They were farmers and carpenters by trade. So...they put on a play...
The very first play ever performed for Davis Winterstock was "Henry's Mailorder Bride" and it was a hit. After that the friends wondered what did they ever talk about before the play? They had become "actors who were grease happy."
Year after year, Davis Winterstock has been performed with numerous volunteers from varying backgrounds. None of them professional actors, but comedians by heart all the same.
Davis Winterstock has been blessed to have faithful followers who look forward to the performance every year and they help support us so we can give back to our communities.
