This Old Church
This Old Church is on the National Register of Historic Places, as the old church building in the town of Vernon. Started in 1812, the building is mosotly restored to its 1885 splendor. Now used for events that bring together community, the former church is believed to have the finest hand painted stained glass windows of the era. The all-wood interior with curved ceiling corners and raked floor has some of the finest acoustics around. The building also houses an historic 1850s pipe organ created by renown and local organbuilder, Alvinza Andrews.
