Albuquerque Pride Parade and PrideFest is an annual event celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer (LGBTIQ) culture and pride.The Albuquerque Pride Parade is our unabashed celebration; a living, breathing manifestation of the out-and-proud mantra, putting the LGBTIQ community on full display. This two-mile parade is an opportunity for everyone to show their support and express this year's theme of pride, "From Silence to Solidarity". Annually, the parade garners over 40,000 spectators.The Albuquerque PrideFest is an annual event held at the state fairgrounds of Expo New Mexico. The public will be entering the event at Gate 3, which is located at the corner of San Pedro Dr. NE and Copper Ave. NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. PrideFest is a safe space for expression, support, and unity of the LGBTIQ community from Albuquerque to all of New Mexico. Over 14,000 people attended PrideFest in 2019, showing the fullness of New Mexico's diverse community. This is a safe event for all ages, orientations, gender identifications, and cultures! Just some of the attractions at PrideFest are 2 entertainment stages, a child-friendly area, enclosed drinking areas, exhibitors, and food stands.Albuquerque Pride continually works for inclusivity, equality, community connections, and awareness of LGBTIQ issues with leadership development, education, support programs, and community events throughout the year.
