We are an organization that brings together all marketers, across all specialties, to collaborate, provide support and inspiration for one another. Founded in 1937, the American Marketing Association is the World's Largest professional society of marketers. AMA is headquartered out of Chicago and has over 40,000 members representing 92 countries worldwide. AMA is the source that marketers turn to every day to deepen their marketing expertise, elevate their careers, and ultimately, achieve better results.

Our local Wichita Chapter was conceived in 1985 by a group of professional marketers with the same goal of networking and collaborating their marketing expertise. It took two years for this founding group, working in a side room at the ol' Shocker Club on the campus of Wichita State University, to increase interest and membership to be awarded an official Charter in 1987.
