Buddhadhamma Foundation (BDF) was set up to organise retreats and talks and to spread words of the Buddhadhamma and encourage a culture of mental cultivation among all Buddhist practitioners. We are a non-profit organisation - no funds are solicited from the public for any of our projects.
The founders of Buddhadhamma Foundation are kalyanamittas and have been active volunteers in the Buddhist Community for many years. Together, we strive to live life according to the Buddha’s teachings and to develop the path towards realization of true happiness. We are most fortunate to have Luang Por Sumedho as our spiritual advisor.
The teachings of all our Sangha teachers are distributed mainly via our Buddhadhamma Foundation Facebook postings.
BDF is a member organisation of Singapore Buddhist Federation.
Started in 1983 as Singapore’s first public Buddhist book service, the Buddhist Library (BL) aims to promote a holistic understanding and appreciation of Buddhism through study and practice. The BL is not exclusively affiliated to any particular Buddhist school or tradition. Taking on a universal approach to Buddhism, it encourages Buddhists irrespective of school, tradition or orientation, to come together to study, interact and cooperate with each other. The library has established close links with many other Buddhist organisations in Singapore and overseas.
Our motto, “Together We Light Up the World”, underlines the vision of the Firefly Mission (FFM) to act as an agent of change to improve and transform the livelihood of the underprivileged and to bring more joy to the world we live in.
Nibbana Dhamma Rakkha (NDR) was established with the intentions to protect the Buddha Dhamma and provide a venue for lay Buddhist disciples to practice accordingly.
Since it inception, NDR has organised various Buddhist activities, e.g. inviting Buddhist Monks to give Dhamma talks, meditation retreats, Buddhist camps, etc. We aim to educate lay Buddhist disciples in supporting the Buddha Sangha according to the Vinaya, so that the Sangha may practice with a peace of mind.
Singapore Buddhist Mission (SBM)
Singapore Buddhist Mission (新加坡佛教传道会) began in 1981 with the mission of encouraging, fostering and developing our members the qualities of Wisdom and Compassion through the practice of the teachings of the Buddha. We have a strong and vibrant youth wing SBM Youth, a SBM Fellowship Circle catered for working professionals and a SBM core group that are the pillars of our organization.
