Brew by Root is a Johor Bahru-based kombucha and fermented food brand founded in 2019, dedicated to making fermentation more approachable, practical, and enjoyable for everyday life. With a focus on real ingredients, traditional brewing, and wellness-inspired living, Brew by Root shares the art of kombucha through hands-on workshops and educational experiences designed for beginners and curious learners alike.
Led by founder Junhao, who has a background in Food Technology from the University of Queensland, Brew by Root combines food science knowledge with real-world brewing experience to create sessions that are warm, engaging, and easy to understand. From kombucha brewing to fermentation education, each workshop is crafted to help participants gain confidence, discover something meaningful, and bring home both knowledge and experience.
