The inaugural Enabling Festival 2018, which focuses on supporting persons with dementia as well as their caregivers, will be launched on 5 October 2018. Organised by Singaporean Social Enterprise Enable Asia, the three-day event at the National Design Centre is supported by the Central Singapore Community Development Council’s Do-Good-Fund, DesignSingapore Council, and Our SG Fund.

 

Dementia is a global health issue that needs to be addressed urgently worldwide, especially in Asia which faces a rapidly aging population. Held at the National Design Centre from 5th to 7th October, this three-day community festival is a kaleidoscope of multi-disciplinary activities in the areas of visual art, music, design, theatre, film, dance, photography, medical forums, early detection assessment, hands-on workshops, an experiential walkthrough in the Enabling Room and a Designathon that aims to develop dementia friendly solutions with the community.
