International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP)

The International Forum of Visual Practitioners (IFVP) is an international forum of visual practitioners, established since the 1990s. Visual practitioners are a diverse group of professionals who employ a variety of tools and methods, including custom visuals, diagrams, illustrations, storyboards, visual agendas, mapping systems, images, icons, drawings, multimedia, and more to capture information, communicate ideas, and stimulate creative thinking.  As our world becomes more visual, especially in the digital realm, visual tools and strategies become more powerful.

Visual practitioners work in person and online in many settings, such as:

David Sibbet, a leader in the field of visualization, said that visual practitioners help people “see what they mean.” As a visual practitioner extracts key ideas and organizes information visually, participants’ comprehension and retention increases.

As they see their ideas being captured, participants feel empowered and develop a sense of ownership of the project. Visual practitioners inspire people to approach challenges in new and creative ways, freeing people from conventional ways of thinking and generating real progress.

IFVP is proud to be the supporting partner of IAF Asia Conference 2016, Hualien. Expect to see a visual practitioner in your session this conference, capturing the flow of information and ideas in real time, harnessing the energy of the room, as well as specific information.
