Joey-Lynn Wabie

Joey-Lynn Wabie is an Algonquin Anicinabe ikwe living in northern Ontario.  She was born and raised in Toronto until age 13. Joey-Lynn has six sisters and two brothers.  She moved to northern Ontario with her family and attended high school and college in North Bay.  She now lives with her husband and children on the outskirts of Sudbury, Ontario. She is actively involved in the Anishinaabe community, attending ceremonies and coordinating community events.  She teaches full time at Laurentian University in the School of Indigenous Relations.
